Me and the missus will be heading North to Sunnyside for Easter weekend to camp out and fish with a big group of friends and family. I plan on going up Thursday 4/13 and take part of the new Silver State OHV Trail out of Ash Springs/Alamo. This road will take us North to Sunnyside by way of marked back roads (read all dirt) going through some very scenic areas.

Friday we will leave from Sunnyside and head West through the Grant Range, hitting about 6 ghost town/mines plus another 3 or 4 old ranch/springs sites, including the area that was the first oil field to operate in Nevada. This area is kind of out of the way and not very well toured, but from what I have read, the roads are well traveled and should all be passable with little effort. The G'towns appear to have lots of eye candy and are pretty well off from what I have read of them. But I'm not guaranteeing anything :D

Saturday is up in the air, might just actually have to fish

We are camping just outside the Wayne E. Kirch WMA on BLM land, so there are no fees, or amenities. Camping is available at the WMA, but not sure of what set up is available. Most of the parties will have 5th wheels or RV's with some of us actually roughing it  The nearest gas&lodging (Iknow of) is outside Preston, just North of Lund and about 35 miles. Sunnyside is about 3-3 1/2 hours North from Vegas.

I'll have more specific directions for anyone that wants to come up for some fun when the time comes, but anyone that wants to come up is more than welcome.

Sounds like fun, but already have plans to take the kids to Universal Studios that weekend. Have fun!! Thanks for the invite, though, Gary.
