Sunday the 19th, Coral and Gene will be going over Morman Pass. We'll meet at Jone's Feed Store on N. Rancho Rd. at 0830 and roll at 0900. We should still have some snow and mud up on the pass. Talked to Bill and he is planning to go also.

They are calling for rain/snow Friday Night -Saturday to add to the mix.

I'm planning on getting my lift on by Saturday (finally  ) so I *might* be up for a test run.

Jones Feed & Tack
702-645-1992
6515 W Lone Mountain Rd
LV NV 89130-1808

Rancho and W. Lone Mountain Rd is the cross roads. It's on the southeast corner of that intersection just south of Santa Fe Station Casino.

I hope that helps.

Having never done Morman Pass before, I have a friend that would like to join us but I need to know if the trail is fullsize friendly and its rating. He would also like to know about how long we will be out for. Thanks

It's a relatively easy trail. I don't think that you will even have to use 4WD. That is, unless you hit some heavy snow areas. I haven't been up there for about a year and it was fullsized friendly then. I doubt if it has gotten much worse. I think the driving time on the trail depending on stops is about 3-5 hours. Leaning more to the lower end. If memory serves me. It's a really nice area and very scenic. You and your friend should really enjoy it.

It is still full size friendly the last time I went up. There should be snow, since it rained here last night. We should have lots of snow and mud.
See you there . :P

Andy, you'll like this run !!! Especially with snow... Check out the 'gallery' section and open 2005,, "Fun Run 1-29 Morman Pass"... You should be able to get a good idea what you're in for.. There is also another set of photos from a warm weather run there as well, just to compare...
I'm sorry that I can't make this one as I have to work.. :( Have a great day, I'll be looking up that way and thinking of the fun I'll miss, as I drive my Cab around the valley.... Phil

Unfortunatly after today, I will not be able to make it tommorow. I bought a couple of new guns at the gun show and was unable to get the paperwork squared away before the show closed so I have to go back tommorrow morning. Never before have I spent over an hour waiting for the paperwork to be started, they didn't even get to my part.

I was planning on the gun show this morning but that reminded me that if I go, I'll probably buy and I don't need to be doing that. So if I can get Jeff out of bed, we'll be there for some snow. We'll bring slinky's older brother "TJ" along this time. He needs to get off the driveway.

Hey Andy. If you finish early enough, you might be able to catch up to us on the trail.

Take 95 north to the Corn Creek Rd. Turn right. Follow the road until you get to a T intersection. Turn right and follow that trail. Stay on the main trail. We will be on Channel 4.
