rubicon bob and i are going to noseing around up north next week. we'll be staying at the longstreet casino's rv park and spending a couple days wheeling. we'll be getting up there on tuesday and plan on checking out the bare mountain trail around beatty on wednesday. this trail is supposed to be fairly easy and is stock friendly according to the guide book. on thursday we'll be doing the funeral range trail that goes into death valley from amorgosa and connects to the echo canyon trail. echo canyon isn't bad but the funeral trail can be rough depending on what the rain's done to it. i understand mickie took a group of hummers through there a while ago but it may not be totally stock friendly. i'm expecting a hard 2.5 to maybe a 3.5. if you want to join us either day come on up. you can reach me on my cell 702/497-9154. 8)

If anyone is planning on going on the Bare Mountian run, let me know and we can caravan up as I plan on going.

In case anyone needs a reason to go: fossils

sorry gary, bob's staying at the track in his motorhome so i haven't been able to reach him. why don't we figure meeting between 8 and 8:30 someplace. since there's 2 gas stations, a rest area, and 1 brothel there i fugure we shouldn't have trouble finding each other. bob and i will need to get gas and we go north from there to catch the trail. see you wednesday. 8)

Okey Dokey. I'll probably top off there too  There's a big station on the SW corner that would be a good spot.

I'm still trying to get Jean to go Tues - If not I'll probably see you one of the days up there? When are you coming back?

I'm back from the races. 8 or 8:30 is fine with me.

Dickie, we will be doing a run on Wed. and Thurs. Heading home on Friday.

I had a lot of fun on Bare Mtn. It should make for a good club run. Thanks to Dickie and Brad for going on the Funeral-Echo trail. I saw much more than I have ever seen on that trail. I think we must have seen more than 300 rock cairns. We found more mines and remnants of old towns and camps that we didn't know of. When I find out what is going to be happening, I will try to set up a run, hopefully while the flowers are still blooming.
