Coral and I will be there also. We are going to searchlight on wednesday, to get a parking spot at the old corral just west of searchlight. We cah have a RV circle the wagons party. on Friday night. Those that want to camp can be there. If you get to searchlight, go west about 8 miles to Nipton, I'll have red flags on the post where you turn right into a dirt road, about 500 yards into a old corral and windmill. There is a good spot to have six or seven rigs and a lot of tents.
We'll be set up on Wednesday. If you need any further directions call me 702-461-2314.

Hello all,

Just bought an old yj...and got it to run well. I'm interested in the club...oops fun run. Not much experience but the '89 yj 4" lift 33" tires and some nice bumpers seems like it will take me down the trail. Wife and two year old in tow. Anyone see a problem or extra prep (besides the lunch)

Thanks yall, Bill

Welcome Bill,

That will do most everything this club does. Bring along a tow strap (no metal hooks), fire extinguisher, first aid kit and lunch. You'll have a blast.

Don't forget chairs. Also, we use cb radios on the trail. If you don't have one, we can arrange for a loaner radio.

The hooks are dangerous if they come off while under pressure. All 4x4 clubs ban the use of them as they can become a 100 mph missile. If you can't pick one up before the run, don't worry about it. That will give you time to order one if you have to.

Hi Mark, good to have you along. It sounds like you have a really awesome rig.

I may have to make a run up to St. George on the 25th and miss this run :( but if by chance that falls through, I'll post where I'll be to meet up with you to run down to Searchlight. I should know at least by Friday evening at the latest. Check this post on Friday evening. :D

Mark, CJ & I will be leaving Green Valley at about 7 am.. If you want to meet us at the Smiths Grocery store at Valle Verde & 215 at 7 am, we'll be happy to escort you there... Take the Valle Verde exit off 215 and go south about 200 yards and turn into the Smiths parking lot... We'll be there to get drinks & ice... I have a green Cherokee... If you have CB, channel 4.. If not, I'll bring the GMRS hand helds so we can communicate on the road... I plan to roll by no later than 7:15 am.... See ya there, and welcome to the club... I can guarentee that you will enjoy this group... Phil

P.S. Valle Verde is eastbound on 215 past Eastern, Pecos & Green Valley.

My friend Gina was considering buying a KJ on Saturday in St. George, but she changed her mind for now , so I'll be going on the "Fun Run" instead. :D

I'll just meet you guys at the Smiths before 7am, since it's on my way, and head on down to Searchlight with you. I can't wait to hit the dirt!!!

Joe, I'm glad you can make it.. Mark, it'll be a fun trip.. By the way, I got a new CB radio.. Since Radio Shack no longer carries CB's or mics to replace my bad one, I got a Uniden PRO 520 XL... I hope that it will do better than the old one.. See you guys there a little before 7.. Phil [/img]
