Post subject:  CANCELLED - Mt. Irish Fun Run - new plan below.
Wednesday, December 19. Meet bright and early at 8:00 at the Petro Station at the Las Vegas Speedway. We will leave at 8:30 sharp. The Truck stop has a great breakfast, for those of you interested in getting there even earlier.

This will likely be most, if not all, of the same run that Gary Bodell has done. I put this together on the spur of the moment, because my folks are visiting, and I think they would love this trip - because I do!

I'm not sure if we'll run into snow on the mountain (maybe Gary can tell us). If so, there's plenty we can explore further down. Since we may be exploring, I have no idea what we might run into for a difficulty rating. So, be warned. :D

This is a looong drive up and back, so plan on being out until after dark.

The weather is looking very nasty for that area, so I am making the executive decision to cancel this run. I still plan on doing.... something on Wednesday.

Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller?

Ok, instead of Mt. Irish, we will be doing the back door to Christmas Tree Pass. I've never done this before, but Tom has. All I know is that there are petroglyphs. We will be leaving from the McDonald's in Searchlight at 9:00 sharp on Wednesday morning. It will be an all-day thing. Come if you can!

. The Wizard is BACK! Brand new rebuilt Jasper engine. Can't wait to try it out.
A very nice run with mines, cabins and petroglyphs. LETS GO!
