Some of us camped in Death Valley this weekend, and decided to check out Goler Wash. First, we had to get over Mengel Pass.

This was the hardest thing any of us had ever done. Maybe a 4.5 out of 5? It's too bad the video makes things look more tame than they really were.

I decided I was better off as a videographer than as a driver. Maybe next time.

It looked like fun. I wish I would have been able to make it.

Steve, it was fun.... after it was over. At least in my opinion!

I wish you'd been there too. I was taking photos of moths in the campground bathroom, and everyone thought I was weird. You would have understood.

That looks like awesome fun. Do it once, call it two club runs and the rating averages out. Reminds me of the fun Steve and I had on Wheeler's Pass after the road washed out. Ok, now I need lockers and maybe rock sliders. Back to Adams Driveshaft I go...

Nice job with the video, watched it this morning and relived it all day.

I found out some interesting news yesterday. I wasn't sure my lockers were working, because the light simply blinked the whole time, rather than engaging. Still, we assumed it was just a light problem, and not a locker problem, since my jeep made it through the pass ok. However, I took it to the shop, and discovered that a wire was loose, and the lockers were NOT engaging.

So, I guess I don't need no stinking lockers after all.

Just a great spotter and a great driver. :D
