When was the last time you were on it? The last time I did it, it rated probably a 4 out of 5. With the recent rains, it more than likely has gotten worse. |

I saw some pictures from a rock crawling group that went up the weekend before last and it was not an easy trail. I wouldn't do that one right now without some one who has run it before. Damage would be a sure thing. |

theres a couple good ones at Lovell(i think thats how you spell it) canyon. its a road that goes off to the right just after the hump to pahrump. ive been down a trail with my truck and a passenger and this road went from a smooth narrow road to a wash riddled with boulders. i always stop there because without another truck with me i dont want risk getting stuck. id love to get through it because its supposed to dump out onto the red rock highway. ill try any trail any difficulty any time. |

Friday night sounds good to me. Its about 45 min there and the trail is like 2 hours or so. Ya I'm the lifted Ford. I don't know if the rain made the trail worse or not |

Just so you know, there is ONLY one trail that goes from Lovell Canyon into Red Rock Canyon. Rocky Gap Rd. aka Potato Ridge aka Potato Rd. Take a look at some of the pictures on the VV4W site. Keep in mind they were taken last year. There has been a lot of rain since then so the trail has gotten worse. http://www.vv4w.org/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=19&g2_itemId=9113 I really don't think you want to do it for the first time in the dark. |
