A few of us are exploring the Virgin mountains here in Mesquite if anybody wants to get out on Sunday. Start up and over Lime Kiln and drop down into the valley on the back side and head North towards Mt. Bangs and come out Elbow Canyon.
Meet at Wal-mart in Mesquite @ 8:30 Sunday the 9th. Roll out about 9

Easy run but may be some mud after all the rains. Could be tricky if there are any washouts.

That area is awesome!!! I will try to get out on this one. Maybe my oldest and I can make it. I'm not sure if there is anything else going on this weekend but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know Craig.

This run sounds like fun. Is this a family friendly run, so I may bring the family? Either way I'm in.

Are the trails fullsize friendly? Craig, are you doing this run in your fullside Tundra?
Which exit in Mesquite, is Walmart on?

Thanks,
Rauol

Still working on it Craig, but so far it looks like a go. I'll be bringing the WJ and my older kids along for the day...it will give my wife a break from having them all day  . I'm trying to get a CB to put in,and the run being on Sunday kinda helps with the prep work. I'll have it all packed and ready for an early Sunday departure. So, see you Sunday!!!

Are you going to be doing any Geocaching along the way? My kids love to cache but I didn't want to hold up anyone. Just wondering.

No wasn't planning on cache'n but you won't be holding anyone up. Can always stop - just shout. It's not a super long trip should only take 4-5hrs.
Sounds good - hopefully see ya on Sunday.

I'd like to make this run, but I have a stock height Tacoma Off-Road. Would this be a problem on this run?

Stock Friendly - we will probably have some newbies from Mesquite Jeeps group. Some have never even taken their Jeep off-road.
So you will be just fine.

Like you had any doubts??? LOL It's a Jeep, stock or not, they do great on the trail. A little banging on the skids, but hey, that's what they are for, right?

The kids and I had a great day...missed the wife and baby a lot though. Soon my boy will be bigger and we'll get the whole family out. You can count on that!!!

Thanks for a great run!!!

This was a great run. Though long, I had a good time and everyone was great. Met a lot of new people. Hope to see everyone on a future run. Thanks to the trail boss for putting on this run.
