We will be meeting at the Chevron Gas station on Blue Diamond and Rainbow @ 9am and roll out @ 9:30am. From the gas station we will drive up the 160 to Lovell Canyon rd turn off and air down at the trail head 5 miles from the turn off. This Trail has changed a lot since the last rainfalls we had in Vegas, so this makes it hard to judge on the condition and rating on the trail. In the past it was rated 2 on the main trail and a 3 in the optional lines up the washes. Please be prepared with proper recovery equipment. We will take a break at the peak and back down to the Red Rock Side loop to end the run.

Well, I have a newfound respect for my Jeep's suspension and undercarriage after this run.

Potato Ridge is no longer a stock friendly trail as I am told by Randy with VV4W. The rains around Xmas really jacked the trail up. He told me a stock two door Wrangler can make it (assuming it is a Rubicon!), but will more than likely suffer some sheet metal damage. Here is a link to some photos from the trip. I didn't make this one, but heard it was a bunch of fun.

Thanks for the pix !! It sure looks a lot different than the last time I did it !! My XJ probably wouldn't make it now... Phil
