I'm thinking about doing Potato Ridge, aka Rocky Gap, on Sunday 8/15. I have not run this trail in a couple of years. Last time I did it, it was about a 3.5+ trail. Not sure what it may be now. Although a stock Wrangler might be able to make this run, it is not for most stock vehicles. Sorry.

Lift, larger tires and skid plates required. Traction aiding devices (lockers or limited slips) recommended. Damage or breakage is possible. There is no bypass for the rock garden.

Meet at Hwy 160 @ Lovell Canyon turn-off at 09:00. Roll @ 09:30.

Thank you everyone that showed up. Here are some pictures of the recovery we performed as a result of a broken axle. I'm glad we had a lot of experienced guys with us today. Thank you everyone, I learned so much today. Bring up the first picture, then you can scroll through the the pictures of today. You'll be looking at them starting from the end of the recovery.

Hey Bob, hope you enjoyed the clown show  on your birthday run. Did we have enough? I know you wanted a big girl filled cake but thats hard to do on the trail.

Thanks to everyone for getting us off the trail. The Jeep is in front of Adams tonight. Damage report sometime tomarrow. The tow ended up costing me $45.
Ed had D35 Cclip shafts, Thanks Ed. I love this club
Todd I will have a jack handle for you by the next run.

8/16
Axle repair alone would have been about $450. Been running 31" tires on 3.08 gears for 6 years now. so $1375 gets me 4.11 gears, carriers, front lockrite, and bearings (Ed's spare axle and my old locker). The Rear carrier was only $88 so kept the lockrite instead of the limited.
Warn engine skid is dinged and bent(did it's job well), stock belly pan is dinged and bent(again), nerf bars are dinged and bent(more than before).
