Looking at the weather for this week, it looks like we might be getting some rain. You know what that means, we might be getting snow in the mountains.

That means it is time for a snow run and the Great Backroader Snowball Fight.

Meet at the Corn Creek Visitors Center @ 9AM. Roll @ 9:30AM.

We plan on being there for this. Can't miss the snow-run! Good place for some hot chocolate.

I might just have to do this one since I missed the Snow Run last year... Has anyone checked to see how much snow is up there ?? They were forcasting 2 feet or more for Mt Charleston !! The few times I've been able to see Sheep Mt from the Valley,, it looks like a heavy cover up there... Phil

The snow level at Lovell Summit has been between 16" and 21" today. That's the SDC column here:
http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/scan/scand ... =nv&mon=01

Lovell Summit is at 6600ft, which is about the same as the highest part of Mormon Well Rd.

Supposed to work a grave shift tonight but weather may change that, have fun if I don't see ya out there.

09:00 update
So, my shift has been cancelled twice, and the times adjusted once, still don't know what I'm really doing tonight.

Not sure what time we might get back. I guess it depends on how much fun we are having. Since Mt Charleston got like 5 feet of snow  I don't know if we will be able to make it up to the campground. Most likely, we will be coming out the same way we went in.

Come on out. If needed you can always head home early.
