NNNNNOOOOOO!!!! Now what am I going to do?? I've been prepairing for this run for two weeks!! Ahhh!!

I guess I'll have to stay home and do chores. Crap!!

Just kidding. Probably best anyway if there is a remote chance of snow. I don't mind driving snow but not on harder trails.

Keep us updated on the makeup day for this run, Rex and/or Tom.

I'm with Kevin: Everyone should go to the Toys for Tots run at Apex. A lot of fun is to be had in the sand! Goes from 8:00 till Noon. Then to Ted Wien's at Las Vegas Blvd and Oakie for lunch. Hope to see you all there! Bring an unwrapped toy.

Awww! But, on the other hand, maybe we can do this run while my folks are here. They'd love it! They're here Dec 15 through Jan 4. Can we schedule the run sometime during this period? Pretty please?

My Dad has also put in a request to do Potato road. Me and the folks did Potato years ago, before the huge rains. We had no idea what we were getting into. Someone suggested it as a nice easy trail - guess they were just talking about the Red Rock side. We did the whole thing in my stock Suzuki, in winter, with snow and ice, not even knowing where the trail was going to come out, or IF it was going to come out. In the rock garden, I had to get out and turn away while my Dad got Gypsie through. I just couldn't watch. Ever since then, my Dad has wanted to try it again. It might actually be fun, with other people, and with a non-stock jeep! If it's even passable with snow.....anyone know?

depends on how much snow there is. i've done it with lite snow and just a little ice on the rocks underneath, a little pucker but mostly no problem. and i've tried it with 10"+ of new snow and it was totally un-doable, even in a total rock rig on 38" tires. keep in mind that the only time lockers get scarey is on ice, turn front wheels and back wheels keep pushing straight ahead. ouch!!! ask scuba steve, his flop was in snow and thanks to his locker.

We re-scheduled the Oatmen run to Dec -19. Hope I haven't turned anybody off on the run. The weather looks good and cold wearher is the best time to be down there , as long as it doesn't flood. Same time as before ,and still not stock friendly. A little hair just to make it fun. Tom and I hope to see you there. Rex  :D This is not the easy way to Oatman that is in all the Southern California trail books. This is a little known trail that is more difficult. The trail in the guide books comes in from the South. This trail comes in from the East. Rex

I'll be there. My mom is flying into town on Wednesday, so she'll be excited to find out we will be going on this run, too. See you bright and early Saturday morning!!!

Awesome day in the dirt with a bunch of great people. Thanks Rex, Shirley, and Tom for leading this run. It was a really fun time that both my mom and I enjoyed very much. I am working on posting my pics. I'll post them here as soon as I get them all uploaded.

Here are the ones I took of the sunset as we were heading to Laughlin... Sunsets

These are the ones you asked for Beth!!! I hope you like them.

And here are the ones from today's run...

Just click the pic
