Tom and Beth and I would like to do the back door to Oatman as a fun run in Dec. So, if there is enough interest we will post a time. We did it last month and got there too late to have an Indian Taco. Must go back. It is a good 3.5 and must have atleast 32's . Post if you want to go and when. Rex :?: :D Re-scheduled Dec 19. Sorry about the postponed run. Part of the run is in a creek bed and we could see old limbs (drift wood) up 6 feet in the trees. Didn't want to be there durning the flooding . Next weekend the weather looks fine and we will go. Same time same place as before. Rex :D :D :D

We're interested but are running 31's at this time. Locked back, limited slip front, skid plates here and there; can we tag along.

I've always chosen other trails over the back way to Oatman, because the book "Guide to
Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" by Charles A. Wells rates it as easy. If it is indeed challenging and not just a historic dirt road I'd be interested in joining also.

What about the trail requires 32's and a locker?

We haven't come up with a time yet,but I feel that people should know the condition of the trail we are using. We put 32" for a reason . There are places where you need to be spotted. There are places where the trail has a dropoff on both sides. There are places where we are going over two foot bolders , through a right turn with just room to not hit on the walls on both sides. The whole trail is washed where you need to be careful the whole time. I don't know what tour book you are looking at , but this isn't in it, or it has changed where it is not easy. If you want to go down it with 31" then please think again because you don't want to have a problem. :D :D :D Rex

this trail is not a backroaders rated run. 33's were just enough and i did use the lockers, back mostly and the front ones for a couple of climbs.
got spotted a few times, no body damage.
the scenery is like moonscape with arroyos and washes.
also, this is along day. we met at 7am at the casino out of BC and finally hit our front doors of home after 8pm.
december temps, hopefully, will be cooler than the 115' we ran in.
how tom and rex found this one, i will never know.
it was a hoot and a pucker factor all in one day.
count me in.
december 12th may work as it is before the holiday and far enough in advance so weekend warriors can get the day off.

Tim, All are welcome. This run would be a "normal" Vegas Valley run. Hope to see you there.
