A friend of mine is coming in from CA for a couple days and wants to do some trails.
We might do Angel Peak in the evening with a couple guys from Vegas4x4.com.

Meeting at Albertson's/McD's on 95N & Durango at 6:00. Roll out at 6:30.

Anyone want to tag along?

I will attend. This will be my daughter's first off road trip. (she's 2 and a half)
Keep an eye out for a black rubicon...

Sounds good. We'll be at McD's at 6:00.
See you then.

What a great trail!

Met up with 2 guys from vegas4x4.com and another NVBR guy. We had a blast. Got to the peak around 9:30 and figured going through the juvie camp to the main road was our best bet. Security didn't seem to agree as much. They opened the gate and let us go anyway.

We had a blast. I need to figure out the backway out of there. I think it's the doppler station, then south to the highway. Need to check it out.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I wish I could wheel during the week, but the only time I can is when it's for work.

Looks like a great run! What would you rate the trail? 2,3...4?

I'm not an expert on trail ratings. Here's a brief description though:

A good portion of the ascent was pretty steep in large loose rock (softball sizes). There were 2 mini-waterfalls (the tougher one had a bypass.

Me and the other JK were both running open diffs. The other JK was on stock radials (<30") and suspension.

I'd say 3, if I had to guess. Almost sure a 2wd wouldn't make it up the steep climb.
