Justin,
If the wife and I don't head out of town for the weekend we might make the trek. I'll consult with her schedule and give you something more definitive later this week but I'd definitely like to get a little dirt on my new tires with you guys!

There are very few things that come with old age, but at least there is wisdom. 8)

I would like to come along. Is there anything i can bring that would be useful to me in this rock hounding adventure? Or is this a pick up what you can find?

i would suggest a rock hamer if you have one and a small bag to put your samples in. and a camera for all the great pictures you'll get on the trial. there's a good reason bitter springs trail is a blm back country byway. 8)

I'd like to be included in this run. Have rock hammers at the ready.

When I took a geology class many years ago at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado we used rock hammers and etc.., but I was more interested in studying cleavage yea rock cleavage...

Where does one find one these days

Haven't tried there yet. Did camp on Chloride Cliffs one night and the next night on Hunter Mtn. Both nights were nice...and that was in August where the valley floor was 117 degrees at 10 am!!! :P
