Nevada Backroaders

a while back i promised travis & paula i'd take them up and show them clark mtn. well the time has finally arived so we'll be meeting in primm at whisky pete's at 0830 and rolling at 0900. it'll be an all day run so bring lunch. i plan on running it the old original way which means going up the gorge and coming back the same way. trail rates a level 1.5 maybe a level 2 depending on how bad the washouts are.

we're trying to get it squared away right now.

I had to switch last month cuz a girl at work needed to finsih a class to graduate and get back to Wisconsin, which I understand.


then the other bartender needed to switch a day off, decided he liked it and voila, I may get the days off I REALLY want, including Monday and Tuesday.

mother nature took the switch to me today:


I got stung by a bee.
a mesquite tree tagged me in the back when I tried ducking under the branches.
more than a few wait-a-minute bushes snagged me.
and a rattler hissed at me. I plead innocent on this one though since Travis and Paula spotted him. he was upset and I was looking at him, he turned around and hissed. ick!

JJ, you forgot the lunchtime corn snake that Brad and I wrangled.

We saw some great places, and drove through some amazing locations. This was definitely worth the price of admission!
