After my travel wows from DC yesterday/Today causing us to miss the run over Potato today I really need to get out in the Jeep.

Meet at 8:30 roll at 9:00
Mcdonalds on ann road just east of 95
Wheeler is the plan up and vegas side it won't take that long if we don't go to Pahrump

hey mike, if you go keep an eye open for the newbie group that went over friday. haven't heard if they made it or not and i'm kind of in uncle brad the rescue ranger mode. :lol:

have fun and let me know how the trail is. i want to run it soon myself.

Maybe we should have some kind of check-in system for newbies or lone trail runners to at least call (or post) and let someone know they made it back out. I'd be willing to offer up my phone number to the cause, especially since I'm over here on the Pahrump side, and can easily check the trails around here for missing folk (assuming I'm not one of them :wink:

)

Ok Uncle Brad,
I'll keep an eye out for them and render help if needed.

Not sure yet but we may be the only truck going.
At least I have been on the trail a few times, and am well equipped... Regardless I will bring my Spot just in case.

Hey Mike, the McDonalds/Chevron station is east of SR 95. As you are heading north on SR95, get off on Ann Road, turn right and just past the first traffic light on the right is the place. Can't miss it.

i went over wheeler last sunday

up to trough springs then down and over to wallace cyn. where there was a big of snow still on the ground.

we went down ponderosa rd into carpenter then along fenceline trail to trout springs rd then took the lovell summit rd back to 160.

there was supposed to be 6" of new snow yesterday so I dont know how that affected the passes.
