UPDATE

Okay, we will be meeting at the Chevron/Jack-in-the-Box Horizon and SR-95 exit 59 @ 8 am, roll @ 8:30 am.

We will go to the lake so if you want to swim (polar bear style) feel free. On the way out, we will be going through Eagle Wash to Ora Plata Mine. This can be a fairly hard way to go, but the main trail is easy for those who don't want to crawl up a waterfall.

Trails to Electric Ave are in the moderate class the last time I was on them. I still have to map the way I would like to go, but it will probably be the usual way I go since we'll be getting a fairly early start in the day. There will be a lot of trail to cover for sure with a few stops at some of the mines in the area. It may be a late lunch at the lake or on the mountain. Depends on when everyone gets hungry...LOL. Eagle Wash is on the way back to pavement. The main trail comes out at Copper Canyon. Eagle Wash heads back through the mountain past Ora Plata Mine. Hopefully there will be enough daylight to get to the mine.

That's it in a nutshell.

Any word on this run? The wife is traveling starting Monday night and I have the week off, so I'm looking to do a run or two. I saw the Narrows run on Monday, but can't make it but Tuesday should work. Let me know what's up!

Nice Pics, ccwrangler!!!

Thanks to everyone who came out and shared in the fun. It certainly was a fun and exciting day!! Thanks too for helping figure out that black strip on the mountian in the distace. It was like an epiphany figuring that out. I'm still in awe that we could see that road from the point we were at. I think it would be cool to be on the road and see our rigs on the mountain where we were at. I wonder if we'd see rigs on the mountain like we saw vehicles on the paved road?

Well, anyway...here are some of the pics that I took of the day.

Just click the pic...

Also, if you want to see where we were in Google Maps...as layed down by my SPOT unit, just click this link and jeepinjoe is the password. View it in Satellite view for the best experience. Here's the link: SPOT

Thanks for making the day such a fun and exciting experience...

Great day everyone! Thanks Joe for all the fun stuff, and the excellent spotting. Nice getting to know all the people I haven't met before.

Didn't take a whole lot of pics, but here they are: http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/5709 ... t=outdoors
