Ok, so there's been all this snow, what to do?

Sunday December 21st
Corn Creek Visitors Center
Meet 0900 Roll 0930
Unrated. 1.5 when dry but may be impassable now.

The goal is to go up Pine Nut road, but we will see how far we can get and then back out the same way. Be ready for Winter Wheeling

I'm going to try to make this one. I've been wanting to go up Pine Nut every time I've gone through Mormon. The snow should still be there, I hope!!!

Howdy,
If I leave my stock grand w/street tires parked at corn creek could I ride with someone? I won't be a bother and I'll pack light. I just want to take photos if not, I'll tool back to Vegas? Okay, Okay...I'm wheelin' just as far as I can!

We are only going as far as the first rig that can't go any further, doesn't matter what rig that is (could be mine :? ). We will still have fun :D Otherwise we all end up in bob's jeep stuck halfway up a mountain  But if you find a seat it's your call. Sorry to say my seats are full already.

Nobody would want to be in my Jeep. Especially when Shirley starts doing the Macerena and YMCA. It's not a pretty sight.Image

go up 95N to the Desert national Wildlife Refuge turnoff...maybe 10-12 miles out of town. Go a couple miles down the dirt road, and you will find a bunch of buildings...that's it. there is a place to sign and informational kiosk, etc.

I'm guessing I can't get a large McDonald's coffee there?

Just by the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be much snow on the Sheep Range. It appears to have snowed more on the Spring Mountian Range as well as the Black Mountian Range, and even some on Frenchman. No telling what is on the other side of Gass Peak though. I guess we'll find out on Sunday!!! I can't wait!!!

When I was heading east on 215 this afternoon up by Alliente, the new casino, I could see a mountain in the distance that was as white as white can be. I'm thinking it may have been Muddy Peak or maybe Virgin Peak. Don't know if you can see Virgin Peak from that point though. Seems too far away. But it sure was snow covered!!!

If anyone wants to meet at the McDonalds/Chevron gas station on Ann Road, just east of SR95, I'll meet you, grab some java and then caravan up. 8:15 am, leave by 8:30 am. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get to Corn Creek. I will be airing down as soon as I make the turn onto the dirt road though. Last time it was a little washboarded.
See you there Charlie?? :D
