Post subject:  Tuesday Runs

For those of us that don't get weekends off, would someone be willing to lead a Tuesday run through Potato Ridge? I keep hearing how great a run it is, and since I am adding TrueTrac's, Diff Guards, regearing, and a new gas tank slider this month, I would really like the chance to play with my new stuff.

Thanks,

Travis :D

I haven’t been back there in a few years but would like to go if you get something put together.
I can usually get a Tuesday or 2 off every month.

Potato depends on what line you take. If you stay on the main trail, I would say it is a 2.5-3 if you go off on the optional lines it would be around a 3.5 I did it the first time in the dark with a stock 2002 TJ and have spotted multiple stockers through without difficulty.

I had mudflaps the first time I did that trail. awesome.

with a screwdriver though they fought to their last dying breath....one screw stripped and I finally had to take some scissors to get it off.

the original owner of the Jeep had them installed as an option. as much as he wheeled the Jeep, he could've forgone the mudflaps and had the Dana 44 put in....but NO.

Post subject:  Tuesday is EARTH DAY

Hi all -
And what better way to celebrate our beautiful Mother Earth than with a run out along some of her lovely fun and exciting trails.
Since it's Earth Day and we're a school all dedicated to Mother Earth, we're celebrating our Earth Day Friday the 18th, so that means I should be able to call in sick on the real Earth Day!
I would love to join a crew if one happens. It's been years since I've done it, but I did do it in a stock '97 Kia Sportage 4x4 with 20" tires with no damage.
And I'll be in my stock 03 Wrangler, but if we have at least one person with a winch, we'll be a lot safer should we come across anything a little difficult.

OK... I got the winch, the wife just got a stock '01 WJ Grand Cherokee Laredo, and she wants to go play with it.

So... When are we going, and who's leading the charge?

Personally, I would not take a stock Grand through Potato. While a stock Wrangler can make it through the rock garden, the longer rear overhang on a Grand could take a beating.

It has been a while since my last time there. I think there might be a dip or two that might catch both bumpers at once with your long wheelbase. But I remember that you have done that before on other trails.
