We would like to pre-run the Jan club run Tuesday the 8th. Meet at the gas station next to Nevada Landing in Jene at 8:30 and roll at 9:00. This could be a difficult run depending on how much rain damage there is. May need to do some road building. We don't know, but we will find out. Rex :D

hey there,
will meet ya in jean.
pre-runs are always fun.
the logistics can get very interesting.
"HOW many jeeps are we supposed to get up here and back?"
will come prepared to work or cruise.
trail boss's choice.

Well, Rex, the pre-run went pretty darn well. Had a great time! It might be a little tight at the top, but I think we can manage it.
Can't wait for the 19th. See you there!

good day on the trails.
we even got to be geographically challenged and met some new backroaders in a stock xj who seemed to have no problem with the trail, street tires and all.
finding the claim papers while on an exploration walk was interesting. the claim up from the mine was "star bright, star light, first star and new moon"
what someone from san jose was doing up there we'll never know.
thanks to the H1 and Bob and Eric's vehicles, didn't have to knock rocks off the trail.
they just rolled over them and buried 'em deeper.
lookin' forward to the club run and sharing the road.

I liked the trail and especially the lack of dust thanks to the recent rains. As always everybody was friendly, easy going and helpful. The consensus was that the trail is 2 to 2.5, but I have to warn you I found a a level 4 section on the way home on I-15 near The Strip. I wish I had taken the level 1 bypass on the 215.

too bad there is always asphalt between home and the trail head.
the bummer is to wheel all day, and then deal with the idiots on the 15 or 215 and 95.
there is a dirt trail from Primm to Jean and then up frontage road from jean to st rose parkway.
it's longer, yet better for the spirit to cruise along watching the grid lock on the freeway.
ya gotta get back on the freeway there, as far as i know.
any other way, i haven't found yet.
