I got to come down to Vegas for one seriously boring convention and would like to hit The Bowl Trail and 13 mile loop on the fore mentioned days. I didn't get a chance to run either of them this last Hump and Bump. Any takers? If not, can anyone help out with waypoints?

O'ya any decent hotels in Overton? I never made it that far last time I was down there. Thanks for any help.

You're kidding right? 31 views and not one person is going wheeling in Logandale this day? I'm sure many are headingto Moab as I will the following weekend but come on......................one...................anybody.

How about this, can anyone tell me if The Bowl Trail and 13 Mile Loop is harder or easier than Rock Bottom? That's all I have to compare it to. I got right through Rock Bottom unscathed in Rubi/Unl stock trim. Although I did bypass the very first obstacle only. I do now have 2" BB and massive armor all around that I built. I know the entrance to The Bowl Trail is killer but I know as well it has a bypass. Any help, any info, do I need to go under the cone of silence or know the secret hand shake or something..........?????????

There is a secret handshake... I know there are a few going up to Moab (myself included) otherwise I would be up for it. I don't have coords for either. 13 mile loop is easier than rock bottom. The bowl trail was easy when I did it but I think there are multiple ways around because it seems to be a favorite with Vegas Valley.

Thanks man, appreciate the info on the ratings. If your still in Moab the Friday before big Saturday maybe you can teach me that secret handshake over a Derailer Dark Amber Ale and wings at ZAXS.

I live out in Logandale an have the White Grand Cherokee that was on the same run as you at Hump and Bump - I can't confirm that I can go but as it gets closer I may tag along. You will have no problem with the Loop trail and the bowl trail you should be fine too- I haven't done the whole thing. The biggest obstacle is the S-Turn - I don't think I could make it through with my grand and have never tried it.
I will update you as it gets closer.

There is a bypass for the S-Turn but it is quite a way before you get there so you may have to do a little backtracking. What day is big saturday? I am assuming you are talking about the 6th? if you are, yes I will still be in Moab.

Yep Big Saturday is the 7th. I'll be rolling in there at O'dark thirty on Friday, probably run something, stay for the raffle, then head out early Saturday for Hole in the Rock.

OK I just lucked out and got access to a laptop to check this post. So far I got one guy from St.George coming in a killer Datsun of all things, maybe N2Deep and Jack (I'll call you jack now I got your number. If anyone is interested I got The Bowl Trail, Mattahorn and 13 Mile loop plotted so I might run 13 mile on Thursday and save the harder stuff for Friday and Saturday becasue the guy with the Datsun I believe will be bored to death on 13 mile with his rig. Give me a call if anyone is interested in Thursday. Later

Ranger's Lead the Way, 95B's secure it for them.

My only free day is Sunday - so I guess I won't make any of the runs. Have fun

Sorry to hear that N2deep, maybe next time. Anyone gets a change of heart and wants to join the 5 going we're meeting on Friday at the latrines adjecent to the trailhead for the shitter trail at 1000hrs. We plan on running The Bowl Trail and more than likely The Mattahorn as well. Later
