JOE :!: What is with the shiny stuff on my tires :?:

Show Jeeps have shiny tires... Real Jeeps can be clean but shiny tires??? Man that is going too far! I may have to call Sunrunner and ask if he can re-locate my Jeep to his garage.

Andy

I can fix that rather quickly...Anyone want to run up to Logandale this weekend...I want to run the Shitter Trail

Hey Andy, you better talk to your better half about the Jeep being all clean. She wanted it clean, so I cleaned it up for her...just so she gets it all dirty when you guys get back. It looks like it's going to be clean for a long, long, time though, so...I gave it a little Image

Besides the shiney stuff is protectant to keep the rubber soft and supple so it can hang on to rocks better. I figured it was going to be a while, and with the Vegas heat, you know how hard tires get and quickly, too.

Also, it helps reflect light under my Jeep when I have to work on it. I don't need a drop light!!! :P

I like Bill's suggestion on getting it out on some rocks to make sure the pictures come out good...Image

And Dave, I'm getting reinbursed for bought stuff. If not, I have 4 years to part it all out and make some extra $$$ Image

I would love to run shitter  But I don't think open diffs would make that a wise choice for me . On the upside I scored a D 44 rear at pic a parts today for $ 161 out the door . So here comes TJ shafts for the front, lockers and gears front and rear just need one of those trees that Allen has in his backyard . :D

A D44 out of what and what gear ratio are you looking to run?

D 44 came out of an XJ so it's a easy swap ,no bs involved . I tore it completely down today to check it out and replace all bearings and seals. I want it all new before I install it . Now I'm looking for 4 88s and I'll probably run a spool since it's not a dd. The D30 in the front will get TJ shafts and either a lock rite or an aussie as well as 4 88s obviously.
