I have dealt with Lee Kirk, the BLM's lead outdoor recreation planner for Red Rock Canyon he required a "Letter of Understanding" for a group run on potato ridge the number he used then was 10 Jeeps or vehicles. The reason was we would be coming into the Red Rock area. I recall Robert W. once said the BLM could require a permit for groups larger then 5 |

good luck dealing with L. Kirk. he raised the permit fee for the Southern Nevada Land Cruisers Glitter Glutch Gambol a TLCA sanctioned event from $90.00 to nearly $5.5K effectively halting the longest running established 4x4 run in Nevada in 2007. the gambol ran 29 years. read more at http://www.lvrj.com/news/8921477.html it is my sincere beleif that L Kirk seeks to end all organized OHV use On BLM managed lands in Clark County short of the special recreation area know as nellis dunes. IF we wanted to hold the GGG in Nye co the permit cost would likely be around $190.00 if I'm not mistaken. timmer TLCA chapter VP |
