The Southern Nevada Regional Trails Partnership presents a National Trails Day event on October 21st. Run the historic Arrowhead Trail and helps us in our effort to have The Arrowhead Trail declared a Nevada Backcountry Bi-Way. Trail run starts at 8:00AM. Overnight camping allowed at staging area.

Take I-15 North, 27 miles from Craig Rd., to Exit 75; follow signs to Valley of Fire State Park. Watch your odometer and turn right at 6.5 miles. Go one mile to staging area. There will be signs.

Brochure about the Arrowhead Trail available at: http://www.snrtp.org/Arrowhead%20Handout.doc

Flyer available at: http://www.snrtp.org/Arrowhead%20Poster.doc

Is there a price to do this, or are they just looking for donations?

Sounds like the starting point is near the Bitter Springs Byway. I'd love doing this as an overniter but I'll be down in Calico for Mogfest that weekend.

Neither. It's totally free.

Parts of Valley of Fire State Park

About 3 hours round trip. There will be lunch available and speeches at the end.

Dunno. I've never been there.
