since we have so many new folks in the backroaders i thought i'd put this up for everyone. every year the las vegas jeep club puts on an event at dumont dunes. this years event is this coming weekend, february 17 & 18. if you like to play in the sand and watch some sand drags and hill climbs this is the weekend. lots of folks from the jeep club and from vegas valley 4 wheelers will be there and some will be camping out for the weekend. kenny shoemaker who's been a backroaders member in the past will be out there with his family. here's the contact info for the las vegas jeep club if you're interested - For more info: Call Shawn @ 702-395-4131. oh yeah, this is not a jeep only event, everyone is welcome. 8)

dumont dunes are north of baker california and south of tecopa california off state highway 127 on the southeast edge of death valley. basically southwest of las vegas. as to the jeep clubs website, they are showing www.lasvegasjeepclub.com but i can't get that one to work. they're old website is http://www.angelfire.com/nv/lasvegasjee ... xpage.html and sometimes i can't get it to work either. back country products or maximum offroad should have some of their flyers for the event. 8)
