Took the jeep out of course no top and no doors to head up to Mt. Charleston today. It ended up raining over 1/2" in less then 40 minutes. Quite the down pour.

The way up

Ouch...I still don't know if I'm ready for that to happen to my Jeep. :P I heard a weather warning earlier today about flash floods around Mt. Potosi and SR 160. I don't know if anything ever happened though. There's still rain in the forecast for tomorrow. I guess I'll be riding the bike to work. Better me getting wet than the inside of my Jeep...

Joe,, aren't you aware of the fact that the TJ's & JK's are 'waterproof' and hoseable after a mud bath ?? What's a little rain ?? I don't have that problem with the XJ.... Phil

Oh, I am fully aware of that fact, but if my Jeep got rained in, the inside would turn into mud from all the trail dust over the years since I cleaned it out... :P

"Quite the downpour"...I'm use to seeing as much as 5-6 inches of rain at one time. Now that is a downpour. 1/2" is more like a sprinkle. Oh wait, this is a desert.

Greg :D

I miss TopLess & doorless wheeling - looks like fun n wet.

Tonight I'm riding shotgun in Mike's TLC Icon, doing D-Rails Bowl/Matterhorn nightrun
