What: Nellis Dunes: Clean Up

When: Saturday, March 22, 9:00 AM

Where:
Meet at I-15 and Apex Rd turnoff

Who should come: Anyone with a 4WD vehicle who wants to see Nellis remain open and free to all wheelers.

Why: If we want recreation areas to remain open for free use, we need to help support the BLM

Meeting Description:Vegas Valley and many other 4x4 and motorcycle and quad clubs are doing a clean-up of the Nellis dunes, this was a request of the BLM to help clean up the only free recreational area that we have.

The BLM called to day to remind us to show up...
they realize it is Easter Weekend and can`t change the day.

Please try and come out for a few hours and show your support!

Sounds like politics as far as the date :evil: Someone didn't want a strong turnout.

Is Apex rd an exit off the I-15? Never been to the dunes, would like to come out and help, well my daughter wants to.

Yes, Apex is the exit after the speedway on the right/south. Big offroad play area hard to miss.


Petro at the speedway 08:00 for coffee :?:

if helps being there for political reasons for some turnout I can be there but i have work in henderson at 11 so i can show and sneek out at 945 if it helps let me know

BLM has 3 large trash containers for the site...

Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers are providing large trash bags....

Point of information. If Nellis Dunes is the same place I'm thinking it is, where the yellow poles mark a trail. there is a burnt out car body in there. The body was there last Saturday. Follow the yellow poles, you can't miss it.
