A similar thread was posted on one of the Death Valley boards and resulting posts included a comment that the Park Service has people working with the GPS mapmakers to remove certain trails and roads. I suppose that the trend over the past couple of decades that I've observed of trails and tracks dissappearing from forest service maps and other paper maps is part of the same overall plan. |
