If there's anything you've ever wanted to know about a mine or Nevada geology, they have it.

To search for a specific mine, use the "Nevada Mining District Files" link, and enter the name of the mine in the "all fields" box. Any other info you may have like county or mining district helps. I use it mostly when trying to decide if a site is worth seeing, since they usually list structures and apparent equipment. Note: many of the reports can be very old, 1980's or later.

They also sell maps, books, etc through their bookstore. if you get bored, click the "Virtual Clearinghouse for Nevada Geographic Information" link for more information on other states, counties and cities than you could ever want.
