Hi, boys and girls.. it has been quite awhile since we had a work party. so if anyone is interested, or needs some help or work on their rides, my garage will be open on Sat Oct 7th. if address and phone is needed pm me and will givve out. just about anything you might need is here, i am inventorying spare parts to see if we can do any lifts from parts here, might be a week before i know just what parts I have in the club parts kitty. see everyone later

I think I have a spare set of Rubicon springs and Shocks if anyone wants a 1" lift. I probably have some other stuff.

Those springs and a 2 inch economy lift is what is on our TJ. Added 31 inch tires and skid plates, and haven't looked back. And not much other than BIG rocks and MUD have stoped us on the trails.

All terrains don't mud.

If no one wants 'em yet, I'll grab the Rubi springs and shocks. need to find some spacers. it might be a good time to go ahead and get some better tires than what I currently have.

John jus give a call to make sure I am here. I sent the Rubicon spings I had up tp Phil for Barney. I do hace 2ea 2inch coil spacers so JJ only needs to scrounge up 2 more and some shocks.

I think when Justin did his set-up, he needed to put in a t-case drop. 2in. pucks and Rubi springs may result in the driveline being out of proper angles, causing some nasty vibrations. Check with Justin to be sure about this.

t-case drop is fine. slip-yoke eliminator for that?

my basic concern in changing things around is I just need to keep the Jeep as driveable as it is now, seeing as she sees a LOT of highway driving, between California and here and travel to work.

anyone have a recommendation on good shocks?
I see there's only 15 companies out there that make 'em.

A t-case drop will not cause any drivability issues, but it will eliminate vibrations cause by the rear driveshaft being at an odd angle. You can go with a SYE and new driveshaft ( about $300 or so). The drop option will give you time to save your pennies for a SYE. As for this being your DD, Justin and Angie have had their t/c drop on for a couple of years with no problem. And it is their only vehicle that has more than 2 wheels. Also , if you get the drop and don't need it you can return it for your money back, or donate to the club parts supply.

JC welds but you will have to offer something other than beer.

The TCase drop on ours may be needed because of the big dent from being high centered. On a normal Tcase it may or may not be needed. But, yes it has been to El Paso and back, Ely 3 times and Angie's daily driver As Is. Aprox 35k miles since lift and tires. With 31's and stock gears you notice it will be a little sluggish, mostly noticable in 5th and hills.

Rancho 5000's have been my fav so far.
Rancho 9000's are adjustable so you can find your setting.

For Rubi springs and spacers get shocks for 2-3 inch lift.
4 inch shocks are too long, I learned the hard way.

John, I still have all those coil overs in my garage. Being that joop is well beyond those silly things I dont need them LOL.
