Any recommendations for shops in Vegas that stock 4x4 supplies (tow straps, etc)? Stopped by Performance4x4 earlier in the week trying to order new tires. Never called me back so they get a zero for customer service. Also said they could order the other stuff I wanted...-I- can order stuff and have it delivered to my door. Just like to try and frequent local establishments if they carry products.

Todd

If you want to shop locally, there are several places.

Maximum Offroad - Arville near Tompkins (between Trop & Flamingo)
Backcountry Products - Polaris just north of Spring Mountain
Ted Wiens Firestone & Custon 4x4 - 2 locations:
Las Vegas Blvd & Oakey
Sahara & Fremont
4 Wheel Parts - Decatur just north of Tropicana

My $.02

I will NOT shop at 4 wheel parts anymore. I have received lousy customer service and attention from that store for the last time. Once, I figured we all have a bad day. Twice, could be a coincidence. Three times, it's a conspiracy. The fourth time, I finally understood that it is truly intentional. Particularly that Jimmy kid. He just makes me want to slap him. And, since I work in a company that focuses on their customer service, I am far more sensitive to being treated badly. I will not spend another dollar in that store. I will pay more for better treatment at Maximum or Backcountry on any day. Or I will order online for the same parts if need be. The drawback is that they are in the same parking lot of one of my favorite stores, Harbor Freight, so I pass their entrance frequently.

I just needed to say that out loud for once. Thanks for listening.

As I said, just my $.02.

Travis

Good Shops are definatly hard to find Nowaday's! Customer service has to be word #1 in today's economy! The End of 08 I decided to try and open a shop in Lake Havasu, 1 year later it ran me into Bankruptcy.... :? all though theres quite a few dollars in that town most of it is retired money and they really watch what they spend! The Internet kills the little guy shops nowaday's and the 4WP of the wold are just whores! They have deep pockets and bad service and people that just don't care really about what your wanting to do with your ride!

It's hard to have everything in stock to please everyone unless your Daddy left you a small fortune to stock it all! I had a great customer base but just couldn't house enough Product to make it work... I feal really bad for the shops still trying to survive today but if you hear of something or someone that really takes care of there customers, PLEASE Share it with everyone on the trail because good word of mouth will make a company last and the company that lasts is hopefully taking care of there company!

My $.02

Adams Driveline in Henderson not only works on Jeeps, but Vic there will order any part you want. They don't stock alot but they can order from all the same books as 4 wheel parts, and they do much better work with better customer service and better prices. :)
