Here are a few pics of my project in motion, "slow motion".
The fender came off to get at a bit of rust underneath the battery tray on the firewall.
I have replaced pretty much the entire cooling system but the engine cooling "ducts" have a large amount of rust present so a rebuild is likely even though it purs smoothly with 80,000 miles on it, also the wiring is a nightmare so I will probably end up with a painless performance wiring harness and a complete rubber bushing replacement set.
I went ahead with the procomp AT tires after replacing the manual steering box. New shocks are also on the hitlist of goodies with a set of doors and a new soft top.
So far I am only about 3 grand in to this beasty counting a load of tools and tires/parts.
This is a great project.
BTW, Those BFGs on the jeep are dated to 1974 according to the dude at 4wheel parts center.
I don't know if that is accurate but what a surprise.
