Front locks using vacuum. The lines are made of plastic and get brittle and break. New harness is about $70 or you can find the leaks and repair them with some rubber vacuum hose from your local auto parts store for a couple bucks.

does any one know how the 4x4 part time to full time 4x4 work? I was trying to pull a tree stump with my jeep. I had it in 4x4 lo and auto trans down in 1st but the front would not lock in and the light was on part time 4x4. any help thanks. |

If it's built like the YJ check the actuator on the front axle, beyond that no Idea. |
