I don't know what the sound is Davis, but in the other video: Death Valley spider, that's a wind scorpion. Harmless, but fast as a rocket!

You may just have a dry joint that is worn from being that way. You may throw some grease in the joints and it might go away for a while. So, I'd try the feeling it first then if you can narrow it down somewhat, then try greasing all the fittings. It sounds like a knuckle popping. Is there grease in the upper ball joints, and all the tie rod and drag link fittings with zerks on it? Have someone else rock the steering back and forth and lay down and put your hand on the components to see if you can feel where the noise is coming from, then shoot some grease in the fittings one-by-one and see if a certain one stops making the sound.

How many miles on your Jeep? I had nearly 98K miles on mine and my steering was fine other than play in the pitman shaft. I can't see it being bad already, but anything is possible.

Keep us updated on what developes.

hmm I will check tomorrow, but I think they greased everything again when I took it to ted wiens for them to re-torque everything today. I have around 27k on the jeep, maybe 1000 of it with the lift installed. how do I go about greasing the u-joints on the axles? do i need to remove them? sorry Im a newb when it comes to suspensions.

checked it this morning, it was a little loose, and i torqued it to 55lbs (what i found online). is that high enough? it still makes the sound though :(

edit: nvm i think I torqued the drag link. i will have to try the trackbar tomorrow. what should i torque it to?
