does anyone else have a problem with water from the A/C leaking into the floorboard of their TJ? I don't use the A/C often, but when I do, it does this, especially when it's humid like it right now.

how does one fix this?

We had the same problem on our TJ while visiting Florida and North Carolina. The water is condensation from the A/C unit caused by a poorly designed condensation drain. The fix is easy and cheap! If you look on the passenger side firewall just below where the A/C lines enter, you will see a metal tube sticking out. That tube is your drain. Get a piece of clear plastic tubing and slide it over the tube sticking out of the firewall. The tubing should be about 12 inches long and if I recall correctly it is 1/2 or 1 (not sure exactly, I will have to take a closer look for you) inch inner diameter (it was kind of a pain to get it on there but at least you know it won't fall off.) Make sure the open end of the tube is pointed towards the ground, otherwise water will back up into it and drain into the cabin all at once. I can get some pics or have you take a look at our Jeep next time we meet up. Just let me know what information you would like to know.

JJ, Sheila was spot on with her assesment. After talking with a fellow Jeeper out here I found out that the correct size is 5/8" He knew exactly what I was talking about as soon as I mentioned it. Of course he only found out after the dealer mis-diagnosed a bad heater core that was no longer under warranty.

If you owned a YJ with A/C the drain hose is in the middle of the unit and the hose drains through a hole in the body, on top of the bell housing of the trans.

here's a little write-up I found to help fix the problem...just the same as Andy and Shiela mentioned.
