Greetings all;

In the “BC” time (before children), my wife and I four wheeled a lot. We have traveled to most every area of Nevada including Berlin (love that area). Now that the kids are adults we are itching to get out and do it again.

About Us;

My wife, Vijean, has been teaching for 27 years. She is an Algebra teacher at Basic High School. My name is Tony and I am retired from the Las Vegas transportation department and Lake Mead National Park. The previous four wheeling I mentioned was all done in a classic Bronco which I still own and I am a member of the Vegas Broncos. I also own a Toyota Tundra which is what we will be using since Vijean has become extremely spoiled (don’t tell her I said that).

I look forward to meeting like minded individuals.

Happy Trails,
Tony Thompson

Thank you Bob, we are looking forward to getting out again. Bob, I have a question, we like the idea of camping runs like the September one. My question is, do you or other members mind if we bring our dogs along on the over night events? They are very well trained and friendly.

I have no problem with that. You will find that there are other animals that are present on the runs. It also depends on where the run is. I think in Death Valley there may restrictions on animals. Somebody with a little more knowledge may post about that. As fay as the Sept. run, some people may be staying at the DV RV Park in Beatty. Others may stay at some of the local motels. Not sure which motels allow pets.

I've had no problem bringing Jake to the Death Valley Inn RV park. The Motel makes you pay a refundable $ 10.00 deposit when you register.

Tony I believe the only issue with dogs is that DV is a National Park and they have some restrictions. Double check their website - but other than that others bring along their dogs and cats. So shouldn't be an issue.

What year Tundra do you have? I used to have a Jeep and now have a Tundra, but the wife is looking for a Rubicon Unlimited so should have another Jeep in the family soon.

Welcome
