Hi,

was advised to check out your message board so I did.

I am seriously thinking about joining ya'll for your 06/08 run up wheeler pass.

I have an 08 Tacoma v6 acc cab 4x4 with the off road TRD and towing package.

I am having the Leaf Spring TSB job done in house. and upgrading to bilstein 5100s all a round (adj, up front).

I am running stock P265/70R16 rugged trail T/A on all 4 corners but hope to get to a 75R after the suspension parts are in.

I did the toyota trails team event in Big bear earlier this month and intend on going to the United 4 wheel drive assn. 4WD Awareness Class
June 14, 2008 at the Logandale Trails.

I am a union wireman with rigging experiance and have assembled a pretty good recovery kit with both static and kinetic recovery gear.

It includes: 1- 30' 7/8" doublebraid 28K kinetic recovery rope, 1- 50' 1/2" 5.2K & 1-40" 9/16" 11.8K twisted nylon anchor rope. A 150" 5/16 13K amsteel rope w/ eyelet (not pictured). 2-4' purple 5.2K round slings, 1- 10' green 10K round sling & 1 6' red 26.4K round sling (not pictured). As well as 1-5K yellow web sling. Also Included is 1 20' 3/8 7K Q&T drag chain w/ chain hooks. 1 3/8" winching assesory set w/ 3 ton hooks. 1- 48" 7.7K Hi Lift Jack. 2-3.75 ton screw pin shackles, 1 3 ton screw pin shackle, 1 shackled Q&T receiver hitch, 2-48 sq foot hi visability safety netting panels. 1 roll red DANGER ribbon. 1 short handled spade. 1# ball peen hammer, 2 pair leather gloves, 1 pair dyneema working gloves. 2 pair clear safety glasses. 2 hi visability safety vests. 1 flashlight.

This is not my first 4x4 . and I have been stuck more times than I care to mention.

Image to the board, Tim. Hope to see you out in the dirt soon. BTW, nice recovery gear setup. I've never seen anyone have such a complete setup before. If anyone gets stuck it will sure be nice to have you around

Tim,

Welcome!! 8)

JJ may have a new best friend if he's willing to go to Harris again.

BTW for anyone that was there on Tuesday, the mystery noise has NOT returned "whew".

It will be great to have an experienced rigger in the group, perhaps you could (volunteer) to give a demo sometime, I know I would love to learn how to lock in a pull correctly!

Once again, WELCOME!! :D

Travis
