It's been over 5 years since we left Vegas, and now we are moving back. Our trusty Grand Cherokee (our last SUV) was totaled a couple years ago but I am excited to get back in the desert and go on the monthly runs. So I'm window shopping for a desert rig. May have to start low $ and work my way up.
If you were around when I had my tracker you know what I mean.

Anyway with lots of luck we may actually make the January run.... if not maybe February.

Wow, heading back to Vegas, that's cool. I'm jealous that you'll be getting back in the dirt with the club. I sure miss those days!! I was hoping you'd be in my neck of the woods on your travels so we could catch up. Next time. I'm sure you'll find a really good rig to have new adventures in the desert. Can't wait to see what you find!!

Thanks Joe,
My business has ran it's course and has slowly declined and the travel with it. Sorry we never made it close to you.
Anyway I'm taking advantage of my pilot/Photography skills & my FAA commercial drone pilots license and taking a job in Vegas helping realtors.

Speaking of rigs do you think a 6.5 foot 4x4 post will fit in a Grand Cherokee (WK) with the back seat folded down? ;)

Hope you and your family are doing well and keeping warm.

Mike

Sounds like you have some fun things to do in Vegas, not mentioning the off road adventures.

I'm not sure on the length of the rear cargo area. I tried looking online and didn't find anything definitively stating the length. I know I've had some longer pieces of wood and/or pipe in my WJ and XJ, and had to put them either between the front seats, or angled toward the front passenger side with that seat all the way forward, placed between the seat and the window. Push comes to shove, strap it to the roof rack or tie the rear hatch down with the materiel sticking out. :P
