Going to Aztec Wash
Meet at Rail Road Pass Casino
Saturday March 14
9AM
Roll at 9:30

We recommend bringing a picnic lunch, and camp chairs.

Elisabeth and I are taking our new ZJ for its first backroad run (with us anyway).

Might be too early for flowers but should be fun anyway.

Mike and Elisabeth.

My work schedule is finally easing up. I would be up for doing a run this weekend. Unfortunately I don't know too many of the trails out here. I've done potato ridge several times and I think burrow wash at least twice, so i'm pretty familiar with those. Really anything would be good at this point. I've spent too many weekends chained to the computer recently.

Well we normally pick up grandpa road off of 95 a few miles north of Searchlight, Then run by knob hill and take what is commonly called electric avenue to the cove which is down by the Colorado river south of Nelson.

It is a nice place to have a picnic lunch.

Some pics and GPS file links on my web site:

Sometimes we take Eagle Wash which has a couple waterfalls on the way out for more of a challenge.
Which would be doable with a stock Ruby (Did it in my modified Tracker with 31s and a lot of help from Jeepin Joe) but is better suited for 33s or larger.

Lewis holes is south west of Searchlight and is an interesting area as well.

There is an area out past that near Heart mine I haven't been to yet that I would like to explore.

great... i'll see you then. i'm in an all black rubi with a cb antenna and highlift sticking off of the back. oh, and i'll probably be half asleep resulting in unexpected shortcuts through parking lots and ignoring those pesky curbs :)

Cool
I will be driving the 97 Grand Cherokee on 33s with a winch
:)

I think Joe is coming, and I will contact the usual suspects.
This is becoming an annual spring thing for us I think.

Mike,,, sounds like fun !! I haven't done that trail in a while.. I can't afford the 250 mile trip for the "club run",, but this one is close for me.. I have a friend that want's to see what we do on these trips,, so I think this will give him a good idea.. I think that CJ will probably come alone,, but who knows ! See ya at Rail Road Pass ! Phil

Hi all -
It has been far too long since I've been out in the dirt. The WifeFIEND's van has been in the shop for 3 1/2 weeks now - they finally figured out the issue and will have it for another week (insurance didn't want to pay for a new tranny) so her girlie germs are all over MY Jeep. Hopefully she'll have a rental and I can go play. I should know more by Friday. Dirt can clean girlie germs right?
Be Well. Be Well Dirty.

Great hope you can make it.

When I started this post we weren’t sure what trail we were going to run. When we decided I updated (edited) the first post.
Also as we have not prerun the trail or been on it in a year or so we can’t say what condition it is in, or give it a rating. So technically we are exploring.

As a general rule we only post trails we are sure of (pre-run or ran recently) under fun runs so we can recommend it for stock, or modified vehicles, and everybody knows what to expect.
