Hi. Right now I am in the pre-planning stages of a trip my wife and I will be taking to Sedona Arizona from November 7th until November 14th.
The tentative plan is to do some offroading on Saturday and Sunday (Nov 8th & Nov 9th) then spend the day in Sedona seeing the sights on Monday Nov 10th, then back on some trails on Tuesday & Wednesday (Nov 11th & Nov 12th) followed by a day of Sedona on Thursday the 13th. We’ll probably leave Sedona around noon on Friday Nov 14th.
I haven’t decided on any trails as of yet but will be using the “Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails” by Charles Wells. We will only be doing easy to moderate trails as rated in the guide book, maybe find out the trails the Pink Jeep Tours take.
You can join us for part of the trip, or just a day here and a day there. (I would prefer to travel into the boonies with at least one other vehicle). This will be a good time of the year to visit Sedona so if anyone has any suggestions for “must do” trails in the area drop me an e-mail.

9/20/2008 UPDATE -
For those interested in attending, we will be staying at Villas at Poco Diablo, 1752 Highway 179, PO Box 2252, Sedona AZ, 86339. A RSVP would be nice so we know how many to look for on each day. My intent is not to lead a run but rather to travel as a group. If you want to lead, that is fine by me. I can be reached at
jrhuey@cox.net or by phone at 619-301-9039. If it goes to voice mail leave a message and I will get back to you. As I get some RSVP's I'll update this post. JimH
