We are going back to the same area this Tuesday the 13th to go down Wallace Canyon ,and explore the area. We will meet at the Cheveron/McDonalds at Rainbow and Blue Diamond (Hy way 160) . Meet at 9:00 and roll at 9:30. Bring lunch. Rex

many years ago dad & i, along with sean and his 3 boys, had lunch at the end of wallace canyon. as we were driving the trail back to wheeler pass road just before the main trail climbs out of wallace wash to the right look to the left and you should see a trail that climbs the hill and heads southeast. we took this trail and using maps and lat/lon we managed to connect wallace canyon trail to the carpenter canyon trail. kind of and interesting little side trip as i remember it.

Re-located from my beloved Mojave to Texas. Where did all the mountains go???

Brad, I was hoping to find that very trail. We looked for it when we went to Carpenter Canyon last week, trying to run it backwards. But took the wrong turn and we ended up back to the Carpenter Canyon road by a different route. Maybe we'll find it tomorrow.

Why not come along and help us look? We'd love to have you along.

I think it could make a GREAT ending to a Wheeler Pass run rather than going to 160 and continuing at Lovell.
