Does anyone know any trails in the Burro Creek area between Wikieup, AZ and Wikenburg, AZ along US93 south of Kingman? I just drove the rig up thru there and would love to go wheeling back in there.

If you look in the "Backcountry Adventures of AZ" book, I think you might find something.

Steve, there are some trails out there. I used to haul rock out of an old gold mine that is about 25 or 30 miles on dirt in the middle of nowhere.
Aguila Rd. between the town of Aguila ( Hwy 60 and 71 ) and Vulture Mine Rd. near Wikenburg.

West of Wickenburg off US60 there's two interesting ghost towns of Vulture City and Forepaugh. Just south of Wikieup, between US93 and the road to Parker is the ghost town of Swansea, which is very cool. North west of Wikieup is a neat spot called Cedar, it's up in the trees.

I've always wanted to do a club run that way, but I think it's a bit too far. Would make a good fun run/over nighter. Maybe we can put something together next spring during a 3 day weekend.

Check out these guys...

http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/

They have quite a few AZ members and often post up runs in and around the area you seek.

Gary, that sounds like a plan to be etched in sand for now. I was thinking a night or 2 in Wickenburg while exploring the area. HHmmmm. I'll get one of those AZ backroad books Bob mentioned and take a peek. HHmmmm.

There's a very nice off-road park just outside Prescott, camping available too. Might be a good round-up site for just such a trip.

Yeah, this is definately one we'll have to keep in mind. I don't see why we couldn't do it as a club run since we go all the way up to Ely and beyond for some of them. eh, we have quite a few months to hash out the details.
