I plan on exploring the area around Delamar. I'm hoping to put together a club run for September.

We're going to meet at the Petro at Speedway exit on I-15 North at 6/18/07 Monday. 0800 and leave at 0830. Bring lots of water and maybe extra fuel. I don't know the route. We're EXPLORING! Always lots of fun. Hope to see you there!

monday AM works for me.
if anyone wants to meet for breakfast, please post.
otherwise, i'll set the alarm for 8 am meeting time.
antidote for the week end at UMC.
the first hot days are pretty busy.
tourists hit the strip, don't drink enough water and spend the rest of their vacation being hydrated by a clear plastic bag on a pole and not a martini glass at poolside, as they planned.

If you need any area info Tom, I can likely help. I've been around there at least once. Maybe twice. Okaaay maybe more.

I was going to ask your help, Gary, but the site was down. Had a GREAT time. Went with Beth and Mary Crooks. Saw Delamar and Apple White Summit. I'll give my official report to Bob for the news letter.

Beth and Mary:Thank you for coming along and for the help with navigation. Would never had made it without you.

Looking forward to great club run!

Tom,
Amazed at the many roads back behind Alamo.
You could do a different route for days never repeat the previous one.
Also, no jeep is left behind.
Mary and I wanted to make sure we got home, eventually, that day.
The cemetery was already pretty full in Delamar.
The run in September will hopefully have some cooler temps.

Yeah, I got your email Tom. Jeepin Joe might have been a good resource for some GPS points as he's done that area some.

Cooler temps will likely be awaiting in Sept. Delamar is still a bit lower than most of the area, and tends to be a bit warmer this time of year. Very unlikely for snow though, so Scuba Steve would be safe to go :P

Hey Tom, I think I forgot to ask in the email, how you running it? Direction, stops etc? Email me if you want, but depending on where you're going, I might be able to add some sights or local info for you.

Unfortunately they had a dry winter, or we could get some pick some pine nuts while there. Applewhite is popular that time of year, and abundant when the weather is good. Maybe we'll get lucky.

But I plan on being there. Me missing an outing in Lincoln County would be some kind of sacrilege
