Paul & I are taking a week off and going wheeling the end of this month. We are not to sure where to go. Taking the RV & 2 rigs. Would like to find an area to camp with wheelin' close by (no license plates). Cooler temps are a plus too! Have to stay in Nevada. I figured y'all would be the best to ask about this. Any suggestions would be a great help!! :D

Hey Jenny,
What kind of trails are you looking for??? Easy or hard? Something that maybe Paul's mom & dad can do? If you are looking for hard, I would suggest Area 52.

We are going to 52 on Sat & Sun. Then head north somewhere. Paul's parents will not be going with us when we go north. Looking for any type trails. Harder trails are preferred, but if there is damage from 52 then scenic trails will be necessary.

Last year we went to Enterprise Res. in Utah. Awesome place to camp and wheel. All scenic trails but had a blast in my broken Jeep!

As far as hard trails, you could try in Elko. I think it's Bangin' Bones offroad club up there. Darrell might have their info. I think Memorial Day weekend they have a rally. Or in Reno, there are several clubs. Reno Jeep Club, Battle Born Cruisers of NV, Hills Angels. Mickey Goodweiler should be able to give you more info on them, or at least tell you who to contact.

Elko is kinda far with gas prices the way they are. Do you have any info about Ely? I haven't ever been there but I can see trees in the pictures! Looks to be a bit cooler there.

Ash Springs is where Area 52 is at. You could have been there 20 years ago and not much has changed since then.

Thanks for the info on area 52...It has been a while for me >shootin myself in the foot here< hah hah...There was also a ghost town up there where we used to wheel to. I am really looking forward to some of you helping me get my compass dialed back in.
